Your Mother Dances brings you a sizzling summer performance June 26-28 at the Danceworks Studio Theatre. Artistic Director, Elizabeth Johnson, the dedicated YMD dancers and guest artist Anna Sapozhnikov bring you dances that are “A Question of Devotion.” YMD company member, Kelly Anderson unveils the Milwaukee premiere of her Bridezilla solo, "To Have And To Hold" and Sapoznikov dances “Bev,” her work inspired by an encounter as an experienced educator displaced by rigid Bush no-child-left-behind policies. Johnson takes a vampy revamped look at her other-woman trio "Belle Indifference" and presents a new work “Yearnin’” to songs by the inimitable Neko Case. She will also dance New York choreographer Molly Rabinowitz's rigorously poetic solo "Joy.” Join YMD for an evening of intimate, physical, sometimes funny, sometimes beautiful, sometimes melancholy works that leave no question as to Your Mother’s devotion.
